April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month.
In 2010, my Mum was told she had stage-4 cancer of the bowel (also known as colon cancer) and that they would have to operate. And if they couldn’t remove the whole tumour (depending on where it had spread) then it would be a case of “managing” the cancer for a limited time.
